That panorama was from an incredible spot on the Kitsumkalum - the water was beautiful, and the forest all coastal and mossy (it was like fishing in Princess Mononoke forest, I kept expecting to see little bobblehead forest spirits).
This spot was also where we put in our pontoon boats, not knowing we were upstream of the 2km canyon full of rapids, rather than downstream of it as we thought. Pontoon boats are remarkably seaworthy little boats, it turns out...
